Fieldwork is a key component of the SABIRANET project. It complements the analysis of digital and media corpora by investigating how speakers perceive, use and evaluate Arabic varieties, mixed linguistic practices and multilingualism in different social and migratory contexts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through questionnaires and semi-structured interviews conducted in Italy and Morocco, the project explores speakers\u2019 linguistic practices and representations, with particular attention to Moroccan Arabic (Darija), Standard Arabic, mixed forms of Arabic and the use of European languages in everyday and digital communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fieldwork is organised in two main research contexts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fieldwork in Italy<\/strong> Fieldwork in Morocco<\/strong> La ricerca sul campo costituisce una componente fondamentale del progetto SABIRANET.
